Zas, I would count it. Just let me know which days and I'll put it in.
Rain Mon & Tues put a damper on exercise, but I'm not complaining. We need the rain.
Wed: cardio: 30 mins, strength: core (Carrying bagged hay for the goats and putting down a platform for them to stand on around the water trough)

ok, update on the health front: cyst is clear, no cloudy so doc is not worried, he sais i am perfectly fine. Other news on the hip and stomach though. Left hip has a Labral Tear inside the socket ball area, so I will be having an MRI next tues, then follow up to look at it, then most likely surgery to remove the portion of tissue that is torn, or else i will end up with a hip replacement in my 60's70's....he told me that 1.5 years with pain is too much for anyone to handle, and it has to get done. My stomach, had an upper endoscopy yesterday, knocked me out and took two biopsies of the stomach and I have to avoid many things. Most likely it is irriated and sick over the pain pills i have been taking for the hip, but i will find out soon. ALL KINDS OF HEALTH ISSUES GOIN ON BUT I AM NOT GIVING UP!!!!!

Is anyone else having trouble with Photobucket, or is it just me? It seems to have started when they started forcing you (at least me) to view a video while your image is uploading. Guess one shouldn't complain much about something that's free. Oh well...
Anyway, today I spent 20 minutes moving furniture, including loading two 26" CRT TV's onto a truck to haul off, then 45 minutes cutting a tree off the fence with chainsaw. Just 28 minutes short of goal, so will try to walk tonight.
Sat Cardio: 45 mins (walking to/from track plus 2 laps around)
Sun Cardio: 65 mins, Strength U,C (see above)
ETA: 30 mins more walking at 8pm tonight

hello everyone :)
thursday afternoon, on way to get my kiddo at school, i lost control around a bend on our road, and totalled my convertible. i somehow managed to walk away from it, but the car is gone. I have a badly beaten left eye and my ribbs shoulder etc are bruised, but i am alive. i am still not exactly how i walked away, but i am still breathing and standing, though i hurt. thank goodness noone was involved. so, needless to say i am not very active, but i am managing to stay busy anyway.... :(
fri: rest day.
sat: drove around with D, trying to distract my head and the pain. rest day.
sun: 40 min walk, wash the blue cavalier since its now my only vehicle, clean up garage. 90 min cardio and U L AND C.
Today, doing laundry, catching up with all the follow up appts i have to do for my body, breathing with noone else around, which is nice because i havent had a second to be alone with my head and thoughts since Thursday before the accident. I am very tired, and very sore and totally disallusioned. I am so devastated about my convertible, and sad that I caused it to be a loss, but not being safe enough..... :( Its my first REAL Auto accident and I am still in shock I guess, I have to look at her crumbled self in our field every time I am outside, it hurts me terribly. I am so down on myself and my troubles right now and I dont know what D is thinking in his mind, he jumped on me today for something that I am not even sure about..... and well, its just not happy time right now. I am happy MJ is doing so good in school though!!!
Tomorrow, I have an MRI for my Hip, Thursday Parent meeting for MJ at school to see how she is doing, Friday an assembly at school and the Halloween party, then Saturday is old town Halloween that we may attend with MJ and my folks, its go go go, and I just wanna rest.
I will update as I get my strength back and the ability to move without hurting. I am trying desparately not to eat and feel sorry for myself. I did all this myself........

Bj, I'm sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you are feeling better soon. Sure glad MJ wasn't in the car with you. When it rains it pours. Hope you can get some rest. Sounds like you have too much on your plate.

Hey guys, I think everyone is losing enthusiasm for exercise, including me, and the holidays are just around the corner, and BJ and others need to recuperate from injuries.
Let's close down the formal exercise challenge for now, and start up again after the first of the year if there's an interest. Please feel free to post what you do, or whatever you want for that matter. I enjoy reading it.
I sure appreciate you all joining me on this. It has definitely kept me going and got me out and moving at times I wouldn't have otherwise.

hey Nance, Sorry we are falling off the wagoN! BAAH! I am still doing my best given the circumstances. I saw my Ortho PT last week follow up to HIP. I will have surgery, and it will be a tough 2 weeks post, then 4-6 week recovery. With my left ribcage all messed up from the accident, I'm just barely hanging on. It sucks. :( I went thru a crash on carbs last week, in shock over the reality of losing my walking ability for the first few days, crutches, no driving.....how do you rely on someone else???? :(
the week of the 24-30, i was busy with dr appts, and school activities.
sun 30th: 60 min river walk, 60 min cardio. no strength.
mon 31st: 60 min walk, cardio. no strength.
1st: cleaning, rest day
2nd: 3 miles, 3.5 miles. Some U C AND L. 50 min cardio.
3rd: 20 min cardio
4th: 45 min cardio and U L AND C.
5th: rest day
6th: cardio 25 min.
7th: will advise :)

hello everyone!
i know i am on here solo, but i just want to keep me accountable. as for really working out, well that is just not happening. I am carrying firewood, cleaning the house, dusting, doing the daily activities, but not committing to anything too strenuous at this time. I am still sore, day to day it changes, but I am not giving up. :)
hope you are all well!

Hey guys, I can see this challenge is officially down at least until the new year but I wanted to check in with my old exercise challenges buds and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Last week I had a free week at a new gym and I really enjoyed it so I just signed up for a month (no joining fee so the committment isn't too bad), one of the nice things is they have several 5:30 cardio classes and that is what I am most interested in. I went to 3 last week and I am hoping to keep that up. I wanted to try it before the new year becuase I know in January they will be mobbed and that isn't a good time to assess a gym. It looks like a place I can be happy with but I just put my membership on hold at my old gym so if I want to go back I can without a paying a joining fee there again becuase thier's is quite high. I figure a month at the new place should give me a chance to make a decision between the two. I do need to meet with a good traininer and see what I can do with weights, I know I will be limited with my arm (the one I broke last year) but there may be some things we can work out.

Hey guys, not sure if anyone is checking here any longer but I thought I'd come on and say I am loving the new classes I am taking, I am taking 3 cardio classes a week and doing weights once a week. I am really just working on my upper body strenght at this point, trying to get some strength back in my left arm but it painful I must admit.
BJD, I know you haven't been here but if you do show up...I love that Leslie walk DVD. Honestly I thought it was going to be just a walk...oh boy was I wrong. I did the 3 mile walk yesterday becuase I couldn't get to the gym and sort of figured it was better than nothing. I got a decent work out, I was sweating by the end. I bet the 5 will kick my butt but next snow day I will try it. Thanks for suggesting it.

hey Hiker! Happy New Year! I am so glad you are enjoying Leslie! I am indeed using her 5 day workout off n on between the strength working out. New plan for me and D to do the better body workout with our Bowflex, M T off Wed TH FRI. Its a day of upper/then lower. rest. day of upper/then lower. That rest day if not others I am trying to do the 12 min miles...we are closing in on our second successful week of this program. D desparately wants to gain some weight, his stress the last few yrs with old job has taken a toll on the scale and taken him down too low. :( its super challenging cuz he has an excellent metabolism. I have him on protein shakes and am working in carbs as best I can...
My left arm is a mess. I can barely lift a glass without flinching, I am seriously considering a visit to the doctor. I am convinced its the car accident speaking up, it started almost after that and has continued to bother me. I cant lift MJ anymore either, its super hard to do. :(
I am hanging on. 158.2 today, and I am having my TOTM...yay..joy..rapture....LMBO
