OI Michelle...its so hard isnt it? just the day to day fluctuations make me totally crazy some days! LOL...but we dont give up or give in because we know we have been there before and its just part of our lives. If we stop caring about ourselves, we would be in big trouble !:)

Good Luck girl, you are doing good too!!!!

BJD, good for you. We are all different but for me calorie counting is the only thing I am successful with. I think exercise helps too.

I've continued at 2300 calories and now have some 'healthy calorie' days behind me. Once more to re-iterate: gain on junky 2400, mostly steady on junky 2300, lose on mostly healthy 2300.

CW 56.09 (123.5lb) :down_arrow:
LW 56.41 (124.3lb) this week a loss of 0.32kg (0.70lb)
SW 55.05 (121.3lb) for a challenge a gain of 1.04kg (2.29lb)

I think we are doing pretty good. I really appreciate this challenge. This is the longest I have been able to follow through on my weight loss....a few setbacks but I am able to get back on track along the way.

Yes...I am hoping my gallbladder removal will help me lose weight.

Come on gang, stick it out, no matter what!!! We need these challenges to help us lose weight or just to keep on track. You've got to know  your numbers on the scale. It personally helps me to be held accountable for my sins.... I mean my FOOD!!! Just kidding!!

I just realized that this month only has 28 days!

ONLY 5 days remaining in this challenge.

I am going to have to do something miraculous to get to my number for my final weigh-in!

I really want to hit 200, so my next challenge will take me exactly to my goal weight of 180. And then...it's party time!

Final weigh in = 174

Started the challenge at 178, gained 2 pounds, lost those 2 pounds, and then lost 4 more- for an overall loss of 6 pounds.   Not quite the goal I had for myself but overall I am very happy with my results.  My eating habits have greatly improved during this challenge and I once again feel in control of that aspect of my health. I feel really good about that.  For the next challenge I plan to get myself moving with the exercise again to help shed more of these unwanted pounds of flab. I know I can do this!

Congrats to everyone who's lost.  Congrats to those who have maintained as well.  To those who may have gained, hang in there and keep working, the losses can happen for you too.  HIKER and ARTIST, all I can say is WOW! You've both managed to surpass your goals, great job!!   And TOURPROVEN, you have done an awesome job. You've lost a large chunk of weight and you should be proud of yourself, even if you end up a few pounds short of your goal.  Your mind has IT again, and you know that makes all the difference!

Looking forward to the next challenge.  Thanks Nir for keeping the challenges going!

A new challenge will start tomorrow.

CW 55.98 (123.3lb) :down_arrow:
LW 56.09 (123.5lb) this week a loss of 0.11kg (0.24lb)
SW 55.05 (121.3lb) for a challenge a gain of 0.93kg (2.05lb)

The goal I set for the challenge was a 1lb loss and instead I had an overall gain of 2lb but nevertheless I find the result to be acceptable and myself sucessful. Stability and predictability is very important to me (interestingly enough predictable from having Asperger Syndrome, too). During this period I peaked at 56.63kg (124.7lb) so there was indeed a 1lb+ loss in there. As I allowed processed foods to overwhelm my calorie intake I found my weight shooting upwards despite the apparent reduction in calories and 'had' to insert an unscheduled reduction in calorie intake to remain vaguely on course. I remain vigilant of my body-image issues which tell me that I ought to lose weight when when all is said and done I am the skinniest man  know and should subscribe to the opposite goal. I'm going to keep "1lb weight loss" as my goal for the next challenge but am also going to keep my intake at 2,300 and see what happens.

Hi

Glad to say no change after a weekend over indulging but disappointed I didn't reach my goal for the month!

11s 12lb = 166lb.

204.2 is my FINAL for this challenge. I'm going to have some very lofty goals for the next challenge, as I don't think I did my best for this one. 3 of the 8 weeks I totally slacked off...

oi...i struggled and tripped too many times over this challenge.....somehow i managed to get to 165. this is my final weigh in.

it seems cheating or taking a lighter day just ISNT POSSIBLE any more. I just have to try try try all the time now and get this stubborn weight off. i am so incredibly stressed financially these days, we need and need and the money just isnt there...so to say that i am still managing to lose for me is a BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT. Somedays though, i really just want to stay in bed where my mind wont get the best of me. At least when i sleep i cant be worrying...LOL.....too bad i cant sleep much! LOL...

anyway, not giving up, on to the next challenge!!!! Bring it on!!! :)

I know Michelle...I am. It's just when I think back over the last two months, I know I could have done much better. There was a period of 3 weeks straight that I didn't go to the gym even once, nor really concentrate on what I was eating. I think 12 lbs a month is very possible if you are doing everything right, without any lapses or cheating.

I will be hitting my end goal of 180 for the next challenge. Then I will be posting my 'success story' with photos. I can't wait!
