I don't do Insanity, but I know you can log into teambeachbody dot com and sign up for a free account.  You can find other people doing the same workout as you, even at the same time as you.  And even request them as buddies.  Check it out sometime, it's pretty cool.

Have you lost weight with the P90x program?   I have the Insanity program but have yet to try it.  It scares the #%@&! out of me because I've seen how intense it is.

The Insanity workout is definitely not for people with heart problems . You should have a lot of cardio to start with.

Ive completed the Insanity 60 day program twice now, with a month break in between.

IT IS NOT FOR THE FEINT OF HEART!

Its an incredible workout program, extremely effective. Even if you cant keep up, just keep trying.. thats the beauty of it. As a head to toe complete workout (Cardio, strengthening, toning, etc) it has it all. I cant recommend it enough

I actually got a pirated copy and went ahead and paid for a legitimate copy later I was so impressed.

You will think you are dying at the start but dont quit. If you have to, repeat the first week several times (I did) until you feel more comfortable then move on.

WARNING! The 2nd month is far more difficult than the first, but if you can manage them both, youll be in the best shape of your life.

I've had the Insanity program for over a year now and have yet to try it.  It still intimidates me.  Maybe it's time to get my groove on and get moving with Insanity.

I know I don't have to do everything just like it shows.  If I need to moderate a bit I can.  If I need to do the first week a few weeks in a row, I can. If I only do it 3 times a week then the other days work on some strength training and perhaps some hiking I can.   Right, I can mix it up however I want.   Hard to get out of the "all or nothing" mentallity towards Insanity.

Yes, I fought the same thing - thinking that If I couldnt keep up then what is the point. Toss that #%@&! - I use the DVDs now for occasional variety in my regular workout - they are a tool, use them how you want.

YOu do owe it to yourself to make the plunge eventually though, try and do the whole thing.. its quite an experience. Get motivated and go for it. There is something gratifying about just pushing it for a while, seeing if you can stand it.

I plan to give it a third go in January to start out my year with a bang.

I did a couple of weeks of insanity with my little sister and her friends. Let me talk about the experience encase some poor sucker is thinking about spending money on this turd.

My sister and 3 friends all pitched in and bought this so they could lose weight. First of all this is billed for toning muscle. Be in shape before you start.

The girls had me come over to be their personal trainer through it. I had lost a hundred and fifty pounds. they thought I would be perfect to guide them.

Night one the video and I put the girls through a series of test to see how many reps of each exercise they could do. I recorded everything for them then did mine. I blew their records away. Not surprising. I was running everyday.

Day 2: We started what can only be called insanity. I took up position in back for what should have been a nice view. Shaun that crazy guy started us off running in pace. None of the girls would lift their legs more than a couple of inches. After about 10 minutes I was tired. All the girls where setting on the couch.  I paused the video and told them to get back up. I didnt need the exercise. They did. They put up another 10 minutes. barely moving the entire time. I finished the video covered in sweat so bad I had soaked the carpet as if I had peed.

Day 3: at work I could barely move. my legs where on fire. I met up with my sister and her friends at 5pm at our moms house. The girls all whined about how much they hurt. I gave them a 15 minute pep talk about that is just how exercise is at first. I logged their food for the last day and a half. I then started the video. The girls lasted 10 minutes again and sat down. They talked about how much work they are doing after 10 minutes. I hurt too but I had to set an example. I moved up closer to the tv and tried harder. I mentioned it would be nice if we where still doing this as a team. They tried some of the stretching. Then gave up. I stopped the video. I made plans for them to only do so much each night for 2 weeks to get them in enough shape to restart able to do a whole video.

Day 4: They just quit. It was too much.

This set of videos will give you a workout, but I feel it is too much effort for the average person. You have to want to suffer to succeed with Insanity.
