He says no dried fruit in the book but I have TONS of organic dried apples from my trees. I was crumbling them on my salad. I don't eat many because if you don't also drink a lot of water they're constipating.

If you think it is too easy to eat calories from fresh fruit, this is more so with dried fruit so one needs to be super-accountable.
Fresh fruit are "unlimited" in Dr Fuhrman's plan,
whilst dried fruit are not included in the six-week plan but are included in the life plan and there are dried fruit included in various recipes in the book (we're talking here about some raisins in a recipe - not "free living" snacking).
Funny how the fresh fruit are both referred to as "unlimited" and elsewhere it is suggested to eat 4 or 5 a day. That's hardly my definition of "unlimited". Dr Fuhrman is not an over-eater - and whilst he talks about over-eating in other places, this is not given enough emphasis in the ETL book

I made a daily chart/diary for my fridge with check off boxes for the veggies, fruit, nuts, flax and beans. I only have 4 boxes for the fruit because I could easily eat 8 of them I have such a sweet tooth.

More thoughts about dried fruit:
going back to the stomach cross-section diagram he likes to show, they are a dangerous food because they are easy to over-eat (too many calories per full stomach)
nutritionally, dried fruit are only one step removed from refined sugar
