So I've decided to join this website after a life long struggle with my weight and food habits. I'm 158 pounds, and I want to be somewhere in between 140 and 130, whatever looks best.
As you may have guessed from looking at my username, I am a yoyo dieter and have been for the last few years. My weight tends to fluctuate between 170 and 145. I tend to lose weight really quickly when I eat healthy, however it is a struggle to do so since I'm a binge eater.
My problems with my weight began when I was 8 years old. I started eating all the time,and gained a lot of weight to the point that I became overweight. I continued to eat compulsively, until I reached the age of 11. By this stage I would eat entire packets of oreos in a day. At one time I ate five icecreams, one after the other. I was told by a doctor that I would be obese by the time I hit 20. My parents also started to pressure me to do something about my weight. So I joined the swim team, started running on the weekends, and did sit ups everyday. I also cut back on snacking. I got to a healthy weight within a year, however I remained at the higher end of healthy, and was unhappy with my appearance.
I spent most of my early to mid teens going through phases of starving myself, followed by binge eating. At one point I lost 15 pounds in about a week from eating next to nothing. Finally in my late teens I managed to lose a significant amount of weight through healthy eating. I managed to keep it off for a year, but then I put it back on.
Then I went away to university. Because I had no car, and had to walk to get food, I lost quite a bit of weight and all of my clothes started getting very loose. Then I dropped out after 6 months and returned home. I put the weight back on and then some. I balanced two jobs for six months before going back to university to do a different degree. Towards the end of that year my weight reached 170 pounds, which is the highest it had ever been. I got worried and started eating really healthy, started counting calories and joined a gym. I lost 25 pounds in two months, going to my lowest weight of 145 pounds. Over the next year the stress got to me again, and my weight slowly krept back up to 170 pounds.
This year I've managed to lose some of it, however I would like to get lower, and keep the weight off for good. I also want to get my binge eating under control, as it often makes me feel sick as well as the weight gain.
So... sorry that was so long, but I'm hoping to reach my goal. Wish me luck.

I was doing quite well today until this afternoon, but oh well.
Breakfast:
1/3 a cup of oatmeal
1/4 a cup of milk
1 desert spoon of raisins
5 almonds
Snack:
5 almonds
1 apple
Lunch:
Subway veggie delight wrap, with mozzerella cheese and sweet chilli sauce
Snack:
A desert spoon of raisins
1 madarin
4 slices of raisin toast slathered in margarine
That's all that I have eaten today. I haven't had dinner yet so I'll update that when I do. I'm having dinner with my aunt and uncle tonight, so that means lots of temptation. However, my aunt makes really nice salads, so that always good. I'll finish this list when I get back.
Also, the raisin toast was a slip up.
Edit -
Dinner:
A large piece of sweet potato
A handful of brocolli
Half a potato
A few spoonfuls of Pumpkin
Three medium pieces of corned beef
Dessert:
A small magnum icecream
Cookie dough
So yeah, still have a long way to go. Hopefully tomorrow I'll do better.

For some reason my account disapeared, along with all of my posts. This happened tonight, straight after I posted in my food diary. Does anyone know what would cause this?

Sorry this has happened to you and welcome to the forum.
Here is my best guess: forum is routinely attacked by spammers and search-engine optimisers who want to plant links. Sometimes they put links in the message text and sometimes they put them in their profile. These average 350 per day so obviously they are handled automatically and not by a human being. It is possible that your account security was compromised, someone had inserted a spam link into your profile page and the automated sweep subsequently deleted your account along with the other 400-odd accounts deleted that day. My tip would be to remember to use anti-virus software, log out of the forum if you are at a public terminal, and not use the profile page to link to a commercial-looking website - one that sells a product or service or displays adverts.

So I've completely gone off track. I've been trying really hard, but university has been really hectic. At least it's almost over since I've got two more assignments to go. I've gotten into this horrible habit of eating entire packets of pods every day.
I've been thinking that instead of recording everything that I eat, I might be better off writing down the good and bad things that I have done in the day in regards to food and exercise.
I also want to keep track of how much I weigh daily, and my measurements as well as my hip to waist ratio weekly.
I'll start tomorrow morning.

Just got up, nice and late. So my measurements are -
Weight – 164 pounds
Bust – 37.5
Waist – 30.5
Hips – 40.5
H/W ratio – 0.75
I've put on about for pounds since last time I was on here. My H/W ratio has also increased by .01.

I was doing so well then ended up binge eating. I don't know what happened. A university assignment was due today and I didn't get it done so I got a bit depressed over that. I also failed a test and will probably fail the course. Everything seems to be going to #%@&! right now.
