Thanks hiker and James
Boy, 2 friends a bit disappointing. Things have got very quiet around here lately.
Not much talk of foods and diets either, more women's hour.
May look elsewhere for more rigorous talk about diet and health issues which this site used to be.
Challenge area is pretty quiet too, people just post weight and that's it. No cheering each other on and support, like it used to be. Or is it just me?
If no response to this post I will receive
Message loud and clear.

I posted what I thought was a great image in success stories and not a single post In response. Maybe it's the English/American sense of humour gap!

I know I'm late, but Happy Birthday Artist John!

Don't take the lack of posts/responses personally.  CPH is just a slow forum.  It has been for a long time, but it seems it has gotten even slower this last year.

Add on to that the fact that the people who do post here are just busy.  During the holidays I was about 1 of 3 people posting in the diary section.  Then after New Years people seemed to focus on their goals again and quite a few people joined and old members came back and began posting again.

Sometimes I only have time to read a few posts.

I hope you had a nice birthday anyway and I think you've done amazing with your diet, exercise and weight loss accomplishments.

John, I have not had much experience using forums before joining this site but have kind of felt the same about this site since joining.  I joined CPH based on the comments I had read in older post.  I like using the diary as it gives me some accountability for my personal progress and the weight loss challenge is also a good tool.  Seems that several people have gotten turned off by the tough love section and left or slowed down.  Those that are active here do provide inspiration but are few.  Unless the activity completely dies around here I will remain, at least until a better option comes along.  BTW, have looked up other weight loss forums and have not found much activity anywhere.

Thanks Sassy. And thanks James for both your wise words. Had a few low days I think. Yes things are definitely slower here but at least we are here.
James the challenge does help and we are pushing each other.

Thanks James.
Had day trip to London yesterday and walked round the Olympic site.
We have got tickets for 3 sessions of the early rounds of athletics. No finals though
Spent most of the time walking around the massive new shopping centre next to the Olympic site.
Eating choices not good.
Will have pancakes tonight and then try a 40 day disciplined period during lent (no treats or chocolate)

Wow, feels like old times writing on your diary like this ... Looks like your doing great. I would be pretty sore if I did your exercise but you always were a good ways ahead of me in that dept. Any way keep up the good work and just wanted to say "HI" and let you know that I am back in the beautiful land of CPH    Coach

Hey John!

The new paintings are beautiful.  I'm in awe of the control you have with water colors.

Great job with the diet - all good foods.  It's good to see you are running again too.

Hi Guys
Thanks Hisgal/James and michelle for your kind words. I am getting into street sketching at the moment and will post some efforts soon.
Coach I'm hanging in their dealing with legal issues over my parents estate, very stressful and the sooner it's over the better.
Otherwise looking forward to my holiday next weekend to lake Garda in Italy.
